Description

The 1.2 mm screws were developed to fix a bone graft (retromolar, cranial) to a jaw. The lag screw principle applies. This means that the graft is compressed to the jaw. The screw thread does not engage the hole drilled in the graft. This optimises stability and prevents rotation of the graft on placing the 1.2 mm screws. The design of the longer screw, which is threadless in the neck region minimises the risk screw shaft fracture. The system has been developed for cortical bone graft fixation and is ideal for retromolar, cranial and iliac bone.
